Traditional Lavash Bread
Lavash bread has origins in Armenia. It is flat and very thin and can be eaten many different ways. Often times Lavash has toasted sesame seeds and/or poppy seeds are sprinkled on before baking.
In 2014, "Lavash, the preparation, meaning and appearance of traditional Armenian bread as an expression of culture" was inscribed in the UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
